It was epically cold in Chicago today. My nephew in Florida, probably mockingly, posted (on FB) a Tom Skilling video of the lakefront that looked like a boiling caldron with steam rising and drifting off the surface. That was enough to get my boyfriend going on the idea that we had to go see the lakefront and take pictures. We headed out about 1/2 later. I made it about 20 min outside before speed walking with numb toes back to the car. What we saw was so amazing, it was worth it. Pictures can barely do it justice.
