Hello all, for those that don't know this is Saxon my 3 year old shepherd. He had his year in the 52 Weeks group a couple of years back, now it's his younger sibling's turn and after a bit of prodding, I've decided to give the 12 months group a go with him (and them together).
He's happy regardless, this posing business is 2nd nature to him now, especially when water and his favourite toy (the chuck-it) are involved, and the chuck-it is always involved :-)
To keep myself focussed, I've decided to go with a theme for him this year and show all his water locations. I have counted 6 so you'll see each place twice, maybe :-)
Altona Doggy Beach, actually has a sign that says that. It's a short drive (about 20 mins) and a short walk across a cricket pitch where there are baggies and water bowls for the dogs, then onto the flat open sands of the beach. I try to go at low-ish tide, but tend to follow the sun (early or late), here's it's very late, barely anyone around though it's usually the busiest beach we go to.
I only ever go here in warm weather because the only way to get a good swim in for Saxon is to walk out into the water. I always walk away very wet. The waves are usually very mild and the views of the city are pretty nice, especially at sunset, but it does stink a bit having a refinery nearby ;-)
