a quick re-introduction: Saxon just turned 12 years old. He's still pretty healthy with just a little arthritis in a dodgy knee, a bit of panus in his eyes but otherwise still got pep in his step.
He's highly toy motivated and particularly out'n'about he prefers a ball-throw over food. I try to keep him switched on by asking for little tricks out on walks, like going around trees or standing on drain covers or tree stumps, or posing for pics, so I can give him a throw of the ball. I've realized recently that he much prefers to work for the ball than just it being thrown for a run, even though I introduced, a few years ago, the "wait" throw "fetch" style it's still not the same as being given a task to complete.
He's also a lot slower than Biscuit in finding lost toys?
Although Biscuit loves Saxon, Saxon loves his walks without pesky baby brother Biscuit, you should have seen him run to the front door the other day when he knew it was going to be just me and him!
this picture was taken when they were out together at an off-lead oval that you'll probably see us at a lot throughout the year
