Saxon on a morning walk to the local park.

For those who don't know. This is Saxon my 4 year old German Shepherd. This will actually be his 2nd year in the 52 Weeks group, having completed it in 2013.

He is super smart, ball obsessive and possessive, but he can switch off for the most part. He is affectionate and calm away from ball play. He loves getting wet (the beach, river, duck pond or puddle) and hops up on most things I ask him to like rocks and trees for posing.
He will pose most any way or any how with the promise of the chuck-it being thrown. In fact, that may be my greatest challenge this year, capturing his natural unposed activities.

Anyway, looking forward to 2016 :-)

so after all the good things I was bragging about Saxon last week, this week I found out that he has been reported to the Council for nuisance barking :-(

I was initially very surprised and I've spent this week investigating as much as I can, with surveillance video and staking out, I need to know more, but yep he seems to be barking for no apparent reason.

I'm not going to go into too much more detail, but am super worried about it and trying to come up with some solutions has taken up most of my thinking.

had this idea to take this picture with Saxon when we were hanging out in the lounge room ... he doesn't really know this trick outside, so it took a few goes to get it at the park :-)

a big thunderstorm came through last night with heavy rains ... I do enjoy a good thunderstorm :-)
up until recently it's been so dry this summer, and I can't remember the last time I saw this puddle
