I heard a rumour at my local shops from a local guy who I see spends a lot of time at this off lead dog park ... the nearby Swim Center has been going through some changes for over a year now which has mainly involved the taking of about a third of the off lead dog park, removal of some nice established trees and planting a big concrete carpark with token young trees ... anyway so the rumour was that the area that is left, what I used to call the "park puddle" has been landscaped, pipes laid, and some rocks have been strategically placed in what appears to have banked off some of the excess water (not sure how else to explain this properly) ... that this area with be opened back up to dogs so they can have a little man made billabong ... latest works I noticed the other day was a wide concrete path around the water ... I'm not a 100% sure about this, but I'm hopeful :-)

forgot to mention when I was bragging about Saxon the other day about how we've learnt to drop straight.
At first in class it wasn't that important, I was just happy that he was going into position and staying there, and we weren't "losing any points" for him rolling over on his hip.
Then it came up that it "should" be sphinx-like. I spent a week, equating to about 2 dedicated sessions rewarding the "correct" drop, straightening when he rolled in the longer stays and he's now good with it, a drop now means a straight drop :-)
I guess this may be more a comment on me than him, but I hadn't bothered trying to fix this before because a) I didn't think it was that important; and b) I thought it was going to be difficult to accomplish.
I'm glad I tried :-)
