a couple of things worth noting on this achievement:
1. this was our 3rd attempt. The first couple I called too early in the outdoor searches (all the others, indoors, boxes and vehicles we got);
2. I was ridiculously nervous this 3rd time, as on the 1st & 2nd times, but I took numerous steps to curb the anxiety so it wouldn't travel down the lead, Saxon is very sensitive;
3. we haven't actually ever attended any training classes, I've worked on it pretty much by myself with quite a few "hides" put out by my mum in the later stages so I wouldn't know where they were;
4. we were ranked 15 out of 16 who attained their title on the day, so we aren't quick by any stretch of the imagination, however, I was very happy that he stayed the course and for him he did a nice quick find.
Saxon really does enjoy the search more than the find :-)
and 5. Saxon has the perfect personality for competition days, he is so happy to just hang out in the car, doesn't whinge, doesn't bark at passing dogs, happily toilets on short on-lead walks, generally chill :-)

Saxon and I went for a rollerblade along our old neighbour paths, I took advantage of the colourful graffiti'd walls, I think purple suits Saxon?
