for the country/city theme for January, I took Saxon for a smokey morning walk 5km up the road from home, a back road between open paddocks with cows (& enormous rabbits) ... the red dirt wheel-rutted road was what I had in mind

officially I consider home semi-rural and before that suburban, I've also lived in "the mountains" and "the city" ... I guess Saxon doesn't care as long as he gets the walks, I'm sure he'd be okay with a city home-base, he really is quite chill ... and as a side-bar, I wish I lived closer to the beach, and I'm 100% sure Saxon would love that too :-)

1km any direction from home will land you on a dirt road with no pedestrian paths, wiped out my rollerblading activities ;-) slightly increased the biking :-)

Treacle is not a very country dog, but oh how she wishes she could be running through the paddocks after the birds (particularly), rabbits and anything else that would run from her :-)

on the other hand, she'd probably run from the horses and cows that inhabit the paddocks she is gazing at here ;-)
