Saxon is 11 years old now, has been in front of the camera his whole life, knows the drill.
He returns after a year off from the weekly schedule, and going by this morning's walk, I suspect he is really looking forward to it after watching Biscuit get the lion's share of attention last year :-)

still with a spring in his step

despite him being 11 years old, he's only slowed down a little, and barely any at all when the ball is involved. Maybe because he was never super quick, just super keen, so maybe he was always measured?

I'm very careful about ball play and adopted a "wait"-then-throw-then-release style in the last year or so, but when the boys get ball play together, not too often mind, that goes out the window - it's every dog for himself 8-)

this wasn't going to be his shot for this week, but I got a new battery for my old & used camera that I was just testing out (it's been a very long time since I used this camera with any regularity) and I was super impressed again with it - so Saxon just hanging, posing in the backyard :-)
