the blackberries seem quite slow to colour - this is the same bush I took photos of 5 weeks ago!
and it's the bush that took one of the dogs' toys - well it was a wild throw from me *oops* - landed high and deep in the spikey bush

someone who has their backyard backing onto our local dog off lead area has built a lovely flower garden - a quick google revealed these as dahlias - and they have a great variety of colours.
the only problem is there are wires and yucky fences and lines and a garage wall hence the unusual composition - I couldn't get much closer either ;-)
