Sometime since the previous picture, ex-Brighton Belle car 'Doris' was restored to it's earlier Pullman livery (and moved slightly). It now looks excellent, I wonder who did the job?

This picture was taken on 27 March 1976. Nearly forty years on, the car is part of the Brighton Belle Project which will see a reformed set returned to the main line. Exciting!

Following the withdrawal of the three Brighton Belle Pullman sets in 1972, all fifteen cars were sold. 1932-built 'Doris' ended up as a hospitality room with a shop-fitting company at Finsbury Park, being visable from the station platforms. She is seen here in BR livery on 11 May 1974. (see next picture for later history)

73210, having arrived at Bournemouth with the VSOE set, runs around to return it from wherever it came from..... 22 July 1989. The former E6022 is now at the Mid-Norfolk Railway.
