France - Ile de Ré is a French island at the atlantic coast - a 30km long flat strip of land with photogenic villages, old ports and sandy beaches. And small enough to cycle round. Saint Martin de Ré is a harbour town an attractive and popular holiday destination on the island with a bustling atmosphere, especially in the region around the harbour, which has many restaurants and shops. Many of the houses around the harbour have that old, faded beauty that makes a place especially attractive - many of the buildings date from the 17th-18th centuries and appear to have little changed over the last three centuries. Saint Martin de Ré is today inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Tanzania - The Pemba Flying Fox (Pteropus voeltzkowi) is a species of megabat and the largest in the world. These very large bats (up to 650 grammes and 1.85 meters of wingspan) is endemic to the island of Pemba in Tanzania. Their natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests. They live in large social colonies of up to 850 individuals. The Pemba Flying Fox is in the minority of bat species with great eyesight, which eliminates the need to use echolocation to navigate where they are going. And contrary to what one might assume, these bats roost during broad daylight in trees instead of in caves. Their diet consists mainly of fruit such as figs, breadfruit, and mangos, as well as nectar, pollen, flowers, and leaves. They are an important species for seed dispersal because they carry fruit and plant seeds in their digestive system to other parts of the island. You can see a picture of one of them flying in my Pemba Island set

Hong Kong - Victoria Peak or locally known as The Peak is a mountain in Hong Kong. With some million visitors every year, The Peak is the major tourist attraction of Hong Kong. On a clear day or night it is a perfect place to enjoy the amazing views of the city and skyscrapers. We had rain when we arrived last week, and it was generally quite miserable and foggy weather. But luckily that cleared up after just ten minutes after we arrived there.
