Tove Jansson was a Swedish-speaking Finnish author, novelist, painter, illustrator and comic strip author (1914-2001). The picture in the background shows the small island where she and her partner lived in the summers.
Jansson wrote the "Moomin books" for children, starting in 1945. Jansson also wrote six novels and five books of short stories for adults.
