It is time for me to say goodbye to my flowers. They were a gift and a wonderful highlight to my week but as with all things when they come to the end of their useful life it is time to let them go. Letting go is the hardest part.

It has been a very productive morning. I got in my 10,000 steps for the day by 7:15 am and now my photo for the day is done by 8:30ish. I like this out of focus theme going on for the week, the perfect way to take a selfie especially when I haven't gotten ready for the day. Side note - time to clean my lens :).

I had set a goal for myself for April to be all about learning how to use and compose with my flash units but so far I haven't followed through. Here's to starting again next week!

This container held the last batch of honeycrisp apples that we purchased from Costco. They were disappointing compared to the ones in October so we are done paying premium apple prices for the season. The weeks' theme is "Giving the mundane its beautiful due" so I rummaged around in the recycle bin to retrieve this container.
