Every day I take a picture I learn something new, today was no exception. I liked the image that Catherine MacBride created www.flickr.com/photos/catmacbride/19529452934/in/pool-365... and thought I'd try a go with something similar. Let's just say I'll have to try again with a different less reflective surface.

It has been a rainy morning without much light. I was observing the raindrops falling from the tree above me into a puddle in the gym parking lot. Every now and then a bubble would form and reflect back the surrounding area. I had to crank up my ISO to 1600 so I could try to quickly focus and capture the bubble before it floated across the water and popped. I chased many bubbles across the puddle without success. Today is Monday so I try to work out something for the Macro Monday group too. This was shot with my kit lens and the 7mm extension tube. The theme is sharp as a tack though this may not be as sharp as I was hoping for it is definitely not dull as dishwater.

After working with some beautiful roses this morning I went to pick up my lens cover off the ground only to discover this wonderful path of light on the stones. I tried to capture the beauty and the warmth. I am not sure if anyone else has the bad habit of leaving your lens covers behind but I am guilty. In fact my husband and daughter find them around in the yard or I find them in the laundry. Time for a better solution. At least today I remembered to pick it up.

After a short run in the park, I laid down on the lawn and took a few shots of this dandelion. It is always fun to see the reactions of passerby's checking to see if I am dead or injured because it's not every day you see a middle aged woman lying face down on the grass in the middle of the park at 7 am.
