Shopping at Swiss Days in Midway, Utah. This is an annual event that my husband and I attend every year, we arrive early to try to avoid the crowds but obviously we weren't early enough.

ODC - above the rest (standing on some bleachers to get the people in one of the rows)

Today was one of those lessons learned days. Lesson - make sure your camera battery is charged before you start. I'm obviously a slow learner as I've encountered this lesson before. Time to buy a back-up battery. Purchased produce yesterday and found that I had a variety of beautiful purple fruits and vegetables. I didn't quite get the composition that I wanted but if you read the above comments you can figure out why.

Had my macro gear set up on my camera from yesterday and just went with it today. Looks like this will work for next week's theme :) yay me, I'm already ahead and it's only Tuesday.

Oh, only 100 days to go! How exciting!

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed all of the antique spoons and forks being transformed into jewelry but it is something of a trend here. Last weekend at the Farmer's Market there was a booth that had several cases of silverware that they were turning into pendants, etc. It broke my heart a little knowing that families have given away or sold the "special" silverware. Maybe I am viewing this trend in a negative light and should celebrate that the pieces are now a treasure to someone else instead of stuffed in an attic or garage somewhere collecting dust. This is one of the forks I inherited sitting on the old silverware case, it is a treasure as is and I cannot for a moment imagine it would be worth more to me bent and broken and hanging as a pendant around my neck.

Sitting in the bed of my pickup truck, the book and glasses are sitting on the tool box with the sunrise reflecting off the back window. This was a library book that I accidentally dropped in the snow last winter. I returned it without thinking too much about it but got a call and was told I could come pick up the book because they were charging me for the damage. Whoopsie! I now always take a book bag with me so that won't happen again. On the bright side, at least I now have one photography book to start my collection.
