I rented the Canon 100 mm macro lens so I could experiment with it. It has been on my wish list for a very long time. I wandered around my neighborhood this morning and saw the light just illuminating part of the blossoms in this tree. It just created such a wonderful glow in the tree I couldn't resist.

I don't love the blossoms that are totally blown out but otherwise I love the feel and color of this image.

Felt like a contortionist when shooting this morning. Holding my camera in one hand, the ice light in the other and then balancing while twisting and leaning my body until I could focus.
