Combining three of my obsessions - morning light, water and glass. I'm having fun with water and expect it to continue to some extent for the next while. I can't wait to get my other camera back for higher ISO capacity though. Hope you don't get too bored. Unfortunately still not feeling up to par so I took the morning off from exercise however, I still got up with the sun. I guess I am pretty fixated on my 366 project and photography in general.
There are days when I wonder if all of this is just a waste of time but then I listen to something that reminds me that this is all a growth process. I took on this project to practice, to hold my camera, to think about light, to think about composition, to CHALLENGE myself EVERY DAY. Every day, every moment that I think about or work on photography with focused intention I will improve, it may be in small increments but that is ok. I don't want to stay in the same place, I'm hoping to continue to evolve my work. I want to make compelling images that move the viewer in some way.
I am so grateful for the talented photographers who have so generously shared their knowledge with me. Many of my favorite Flickr members I consider mentors and friends. This is a wonderful, supportive community and I am so happy to be part of it.

I am not sure if it is proper to have sun beams or sun flare in a photo or if that is tacky and a sign of an amateur photographer. My goal with morning light is to show all of the amazing beams that the sun is capable of sharing for just a few precious moments every morning. More tea and flowers for me today, still a bit of a sickie, hope to shake this quickly. It would be nice to sleep in but the sunshine beckons and entranced I follow.

Another morning sipping tea at sunrise. Loving the bed head look, hahaha. My hairdresser is out of town for two weeks and I missed my appointment before she left so I am way past ready for the full service! I tried to process this image in color but my hair looks orange in the light so I had to take a pass.
I decided to once again to show the light and was okay with the sunflare too. This week I will try to stop shooting images at sunrise on my porch or from my entry way. Time for new adventures.

Another CreativeLive photo challenge, light painting. I tried this with 3 lenses and just couldn't get exactly what I wanted. Note to self: charge ALL the batteries for the camera, what is the point of having extra if they are all dead? It was great fun and a bit frustrating to experiment with light painting and long exposure. I would like to get a different light to try again. Wish I could keep playing but dead batteries and real life responsibilities are holding me back.

Another favorite subject, dandelions! Working into the sun this morning I was having a difficult time getting autofocus to work so I had to manually focus which for some reason I don't trust my own eye as well. Happy and surprised with the results.
