Although I didn't grow this one in my garden, it's a parrot tulip from a supermarket bunch. Past their best but not so noticeable from the rear.

Lensbaby Double Glass II and swiss cheese Omni to create the bokeh under the flower.

I'm not really a huge lover of oranges and yellows and I'd forgotten I had this piece of orange mount board but it seemed perfect as a backdrop for this.

Another of my dead tulips, I tried to get the edit the same as the last one (in comments) it's pretty close but couldn't get it quite the same.
Converted to black and white then texture added.

Back to the tulips in my garden today, I just can't help myself, they are begging to be photographed. We planted a new batch in the autumn and they haven't disappointed

Day 23 - April 2024: A month in 30 pictures

Apologies, this image is almost identical to my day 14 photo. I had captured and edited it before i realised. I'm loving my tulips this year, they are a new bunch from Sarah Raven. I just can't stop photographing them but I will try to get some different subjects. Since I (sadly) don't have any pets now it's all about the flowers ;)
