Smile on Saturday: Blue for you - ME 2024

Not an original idea but this sprang to mind for the twins theme.
It's not perfect and there was an awful lot of faffing involved. I may revisit the idea to see if I can perfect it but this is what I've got so far. The corny title is because the 'twins' are sitting on a book and I think it looks like the sea behind them.

BDCC monthly challenge -

The brief: To see things in a childlike manner. Consider lower view points, childlike subjects or the most difficult and rewarding one - take the picture like it is the first time you have seen the subject.

My first thought for this brief was what the heck could I possibly do. Getting down low is not so easy these days and getting up even harder. I have plenty of childlike subjects around but they didn't really inspire me. Then I had a light bulb moment...Gloria!

So Gloria was up for a cake smash photo, she discarded her rollers and donned her crown. I hope her expression looks as though she hasn't seen a cake before...she's more partial to a G&T than a cupcake ;)

BDCC Monthly challenge: British summertime

5:40 PM Cromer pier in the middle of July should be buzzing with life, People eating fish and chips, children running around and the general hubbub that is usually found on the pier in summer. Have I cloned them out? No, it was bitterly cold and blowing a hoolie (it had rained all day) not a soul to be found here...except yours truly who just had to get a photo.

BDCC monthly challenge - Coastal

This young girl was giving her mother a head massage outside their beach hut on Sheringham sea front on a very windy day. Although the beach huts are colourful I felt the colour took something away from the story so I opted for black and white.

Posting this on World photography day.

For BDCC monthly challenge - Wood Wide Web - A wide topic that could be anything from trees, blooming fungi or even something creative playing on the theme.

I found this a difficult one and since I haven't been able to get out and about much this month I went for the creative option. I thought about broccoli 'trees' but only had a little bit of useable broccoli, then I remembered my little bottle brush trees so combined the two with some dried leaves and berries for the 'forest floor'. So, not the greatest image but it's the best I could come up with as the month is drawing to a close.
