BDCC ~ Fun Guy ~ It's the season for fungi...or find a clown

Since my days of crawling along a forest floor are over and I didn't think my husband would dress as a clown, I bought this little toadstool for my photo...no expense spared for my challenges! Looking at it now I think I should have placed the mouse somewhere else but he was happy there and it's late.

BDCC monthly challenge - Coastal

This young girl was giving her mother a head massage outside their beach hut on Sheringham sea front on a very windy day. Although the beach huts are colourful I felt the colour took something away from the story so I opted for black and white.

Posting this on World photography day.

Smile on Saturday: Blue for you - ME 2024

Not an original idea but this sprang to mind for the twins theme.
It's not perfect and there was an awful lot of faffing involved. I may revisit the idea to see if I can perfect it but this is what I've got so far. The corny title is because the 'twins' are sitting on a book and I think it looks like the sea behind them.

I haven't done one of these for a while and decided on a vintage book for this one with some dried hydrangea flowers.

I'm adding this one to the BDCC monthly challenge as well as the high key one. I took this one originally with the challenge in mind and then thought I'd misread the brief - At home -still life - Contemplate a familiar object and give it your own spin. Work with controlled light to demonstrate shape and form.
Here I used an LED light angled slightly away from the subject.
