One of the everlasting models that is recreated periodically in Lego Town is the Ambulance.
Bearing Model Numers, 338, 360, 373, 386, 600, 606, 653, 4431, 6666, 6680, 6688, 7890, let alone all the ambulances at part of hospital sets. I think I may have had an early ambulance, possibly 6680.
The version shown here in a cross adaptation of 6680 colour scheme, with the 4431 figures an diorama. I have included a 6666 shot, just for fun.
Surprisingly, I have never built a miniland scale Ambulance previously, but have relished the opportunity to do so now.
The miniland scale model shown here is based on the modified Model Team 5581 (as a Ford Transit) earlier in my photostream. The model features steering front wheels, rear live-axle suspension and a two-cylinder inline front mounted piston engine.
For the ambulance model I have adapted it to the Ford Transit 'Bus' specification, ELWB 3.7m short tail and mid-height roof - I just wasn't ready to go to the Jumbo van just yet.
I have added a posable Miniland scale medic figures, injured cyclist, bicycle (check it out, a new miniland bicycle!), stretcher and street corner.
This Lego model had been created in Lego Digital Designer for Flickr LUGNuts 54th Build Challenge - "LEGO Set Overhaulin" - celebrating all things Lego with recreations of older sets.
