Barnsley Cemetery.
The Cross of Sacrifice stands on an island opposite to the entrance, immediately in front of the former chapels.
The cemetery was consecrated by the Bishop of Ripon on the 6th of November 1861.
The Cemetery buildings, gates, linking walls and archways were made listed buildings in 1980. The two chapels were demolished in 1983.
