Timber-framed with brick. Rendered and colourwashed.
Probably became an inn in the 17th century but ceased to be licenced in 1925. The artist Walter Dexter lived here from 1953 until his death in 1958.

A late C15 hall house on the L-Plan, later a public house, now offices.
Grade ll listed.
This is a late C15 'hall house' of timber and brick with an 1810 front wall, and added rooms c1780 beside the Guildhall. Formerly the Shakespeare public house, this name referred to the Guildhall's use as a theatre in 1766-1814.

Hampton Court is a merchant's house, named after the C17 master baker John Hampton, arranged round a courtyard in four distinct ranges. It is early C14 with various additions and alterations. Restored 1958-60 and converted to 15 flats in 1962.
