To be honest, back in Laurette's early days I would look at a pic of myself and find it hard to NOT see the male 'me' beneath the image of a female I was trying to present. Perhaps that was mainly in my too-critical mind; I don't know.

But I do know this--in recent pics (of the past few years) I see the "Laurette" I want to see--a woman--and not a 'man in a dress.'

Again, perhaps this is somewhat in my own mind, but I also believe that in my maturity I have achieved more of a settled, womanly look, that, frankly, I like.

This pic is a perfect case in point.
