I was passing through Bramhall yesterday, after a day out and decided to call in for a brief stop of Bramall Park to see if I could find the Kingfisher again. It was nowhere to be seen, where I saw it last week, so after waiting and searching for a while, I headed back - and then glimpsed it by the river. It led me a merry dance for a while, flitting to and fro and not stopping long enough to get a shot, before it vanished and I then got distracted by the squirrels.

There were at least 3 squirrels in a yew tree, feasting on yew berries - they couldn't get enough and certainly seem to relish them. I have seen this before and believing them to be very poisonous, I looked it up and found that the red flesh of the berry is OK and the seed (which I assume goes straight through) is the poisonous part. Please don't test this out though!!

These shots were taken at ISO 3200, as the light was low. The last shot in the comment was taken at ISO 6400. They may not be perfect full size but I'm very pleased not to have to miss shots like this with my GH2.
