This dog was waiting patiently for his owner to throw the ball for a game of "fetch" on Formby Beach. Loved the reflections on the wet sand - though it must have been very cold in the water!

After a morning watching the squirrels in the woods, we headed to Formby Beach, following the tide as it went out. This was taken into the sun and had little colour anyway, so I converted it to Lightroom's creamtone.

Our native Red Squirrels at Formby Point seem to be doing well. We saw lots of them on a visit on Sunday and a handful of nuts encouraged them out of the trees. They are beautiful little creatures and so much sweeter than the non-native greys. The light wasn't good in the woods, so all these were taken at high ISO.
