At last I'm back! PC fixed and picked up this afternoon - and fortunately I don't seem to have lost anything. Motherboard that was replaced in November failed and was replaced under warranty - so fortunately no cost. It's going to take me some time to catch up, as I have images from the last 2 weeks to download and process, including lots (and lots) from a short trip away to Bempton and area. Will try to catch up with my contacts as soon as I can.

What do you do when you have a huge backlog of RAW photos to download and your PC is broken? Go out and take more pictures of course - this time RAW plus standard JPEG. We had a short walk round Arley Hall gardens yesterday afternoon to take our mind off the broken PC, as we couldn't do anything about it until today anyway. Unfortunately it didn't stop raining but the flowers looked lovely anyway. I have the means to make slight crop and resize the image - but otherwise this image is straight from the camera. It looks OK, as far as I can see on my 9" screen - I hope it looks OK on a big screen.
Good news is I shouldn't have lost any data from the PC but it is too early to say if the PC itself is recoverable or whether I'll need to reload. Fingers crossed!
