It is not the place but our attitude that makes the worship acceptable. However, the place in which we worship is an aid to us in our prayers. The majesty and the sanctity of the place are of great help to us in our worship, because they serve as a outward and visible means of exciting our devotion. They no doubt improve the very best worship in the world. We ask everybody to worship God, and we ask people to worship him in assembled congregation. For this worship no place is so satisfactory as a church, and no church is so satisfactory as a beautiful church.With David we say, "Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."
