Kluane Lake is shrinking.. and shrinking fast.
The Kaskawulsh Glacier on the southeast end of the lake has retreated to the point where its melt water is now going in a completely different direction, away from the Slims River that is Kluane's main water source.
Slims River has essentially dried up, and Kluane is shrinking, exposing great expanses of sand/silt/mudflats.
