Example shot of the nice bokeh from this lens if get in close. It's been on the D700 most of the week as a walkabout lens. The poor 85/1.4 didn't come out once!

Samyang 35/1.4 @f5.6 + 77mm CP filter

I use this technique with the Samyang 14mm as the lens cannot take filters. It was too light when i arrivdd so used the 35/1.4 first which is fitted with 77mm CPL & ND4. I forgot the black card so held my black fleece over the skyline instead!
PP was just a mono converson, crop and two textures applied, a pleasing result for first attempt!

Finally got back to UK and to my new presents to myself.. the Samyang 35/1.4 and a Samyang 14/2.8. :D

This shot was one of the first test shots today SOOC with the in camera settings set to high contrast. I like the film-like look about this shot. Shot at f2 as it's sharper (and because it's not quite as sharp as the 85/1.4 wide open).

Sarah being as patient as always with me!
