La Basilica di Sant' Ambrogio a Milano venne fondata nel 379 nel luogo di sepoltura dei Santi martiri Gervasio e Protasio: divenne poi nel 397 anche mausoleo del futuro patrono della città. Nei secoli successivi subì tuttavia numerosi interventi di ricostruzione/riadattamento.
Nella cripta è possibile vedere i corpi dei Santi Ambrogio, Gervasio e Protasio.

The Basilica of Sant' Ambrogio in Milan (Italy) was founded in 379 AC on the place of sepulture of the Saints Gervasio and Protasio; then in 397 AC it became also the mausoleum of the future patrone of Milan. In the next centuries the church was rebuilt and readapted many times. Inside the Church, in the crypt, it is possible to see the bodies of Saints Ambrogio/Gervasio/Protasio.
