La villa venne progettata dall'architetto Andrea Palladio nel 1554 e costruita negli anni 1556-1563 su commissione di Francesco Badoèr.
L'edificio, assieme alle altre ville palladiane del Veneto, è inserito dal 1996 nella lista dei patrimoni dell'umanità dell'UNESCO.

A detail of the enclosure of Villa Badoer, located in Fratta Polesine, a small village in the italian region named Veneto.
It was designed by the famous italian architect Andrea Palladio in 1554 and built in the years 1556-1563.
Together with the others villas built by Palladio in Veneto, also Villa Badoer has been inserted since 1996 in UNESCO World Heritage.
