Dal famoso castello di Neuschwanstein (Baviera Meridionale) si gode di un magnifico panorama alpino: la vista spazia su due laghetti e sul castello di Hohenschwangau, dove l’Imperatore Ludwig II (1845-1886) trascorse lunghi periodi di vacanza con i suoi genitori.
Una volta divenuto adulto, Ludwig II decise di costruire un nuovo castello tutto per se (appunto Neuschwanstein) e da Hohenschwangau, tramite un piccolo telescopio, sorvegliava l’andamento dei lavori di costruzione.

From the famous castle of Neuschwanstein (Southern Bavaria) it is possibile to see a beautiful alpine landscape: the view sweeps on two small lakes and on the Hohenschwangau Castle, where the Emperor Ludwig II (1845 – 1886) spent long holidays periods together with his parents.
Once became adult, Ludwig II decided to build a new castle (exactly Neuschwanstein) and from Hohenschwangau he took under control the construction works by using a small telescope.

Il castello di Neuschwanstein si trova nella Baviera meridionale ed è sicuramente uno dei più conosciuti nel suo genere, grazie alla sue forme fiabesche e alla splendida posizione in cui si trova: ai piedi di una montagna, poco distante da un lago, sul ciglio di una gola vertiginosa e in vista di un altro castello.
Venne costruito nella seconda metà del XIX sec. dallo stravagante re di Baviera Ludovico II, che però vi abitò molto raramente.
Il castello è oggi uno dei più visitati monumenti della Germania.

Neuschwanstein Castle is located in Southern Bavaria; it is for sure one of the most know in its genre due to the fairy shapes and the beautiful location in which it lays: on the feet of a mountain, not so far from a lake, on the brow of a dizzy gorge and in sight of another castle.
It was built in the second half of the XIX cent. by the eccentric Bavarian’s King Ludwig II, who indeed lived not so often in it.
Today the castle is one of the most visited monument of Germany.
