Abbadia San Salvatore è un borgo toscano (provincia di Siena) che prende il nome dall’abbazia omonima, fondata nel 762 e poi soppressa nel 1782.
La chiesa dell’abbazia, risalente al 1035, presenta una facciata a capanna alta e stretta, affiancata da due torrioni, quello di destra incompiuto e l’altro merlato.
L’aspetto attuale è in parte il risultato di restauri degli anni trenta del Novecento.
L'interno, a croce latina, conserva un Crocifisso ligneo policromato della fine del XII secolo.

Abbadia San Salvatore is a village located in the italian region called Tuscany.
It is so called by the presence in it of the Saint Salvatore abbey, founded in 762 and then suppressed in 1782.
The abbey’s church, which dates back to 1035, is characterized by two towers, but the one on the right was not ended.
The actual appearance of the church is due to restoration works done in the first half of 1900.
