The Metro de Palma de Mallorca was opened as the first metro of the capital of the Balearic Islands of Palma de Mallorca on 25 April 2007. The trains of the M1 metro line run on a 8.5-km-long route and serve nine stations. The line is operated by the state railway company of the Balearic Island of Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca. On weekends and during the holidays, the traffic rests.
