A watercolor painting I just finished of a place we call “Two Trees”, a local landmark.
They sat on one of the hilltops behind town and could be seen from miles around. Sadly one has succumbed to wind and time, but a replacement has been planted.
I used to hike up there with my dog, also many times when I was a young kid with friends. One time we chased a rattlesnake into the bushes, and other times dug up fossilized clams and spiral snails. From up there the 360 degree view is priceless.
