66 134 is seen with train 6C17 05.54 ex Carlisle Kingmoor Yard on the north quayside of the Prince of Wales Dock at the Port of Workington. The train conveys UBC and Inter Bulk containers loaded with PTA (Pure Terephthalic Acid) used in the nearby plastics factory at Siddick to make Acetate tow fibre. The train runs twice a week (TFO) from Tees Port to Carlisle as train 6M57 then onto Workington the following morning as trip 6C17. The containers originate at Buna Werke near Halle in Germany and are conveyed by rail to Rotterdam before making the crossing of the North Sea to the UK and unloading at Tees Port.

This 1ft 8in gauge (605mm) 4wDM is a very early industrial diesel built by Orenstein & Koppel AG, in Berlin, Germany. The locomotive was first recorded in the UK in the 1950's working at Barton Lime Works, Barton-in-the-Clay, Bedfordshire but when this site closed it moved in 1957 to Wilstead Sawmills in the ownership of Mr. P.J. Mackinnon who used it occasionally around his yard. The sawmills at Walnut Lodge, Luton Road I believe have now been built over by a new hosing estate and the locomotive has since been moved to a private location. I assume this relocation was on the death of Mr Mackinnon when the site was probably sold to developers.
