Passing the well known landmark that is the old station building (now a pub) at Ratingen Lintorf is class 232 number 232 131-3 heading south LE. Unfortunately I only had half an hour here and the sun wasn't quite far enough round and all I saw was this heading south in that time. Next time lucky for something with a consist hopefully...
I suspect the loco was headed for the limeworks on the Angertalbahn and would work the daily lime train number 47748 from Rohdenhaus to Tata steel in Beverwijk and work this train as far as Wedau yard to make way for a class 189.
The Angertalbahn was built in 1903 and is a 17 km branchline between Ratingen and Wülfrath.
Found this picture of 232 131 on the Angertalbahn just a few days before I took my picture, so this looks plausible

275.110 operates a short trip working south past Ratingen Lintorf. The loco is coded 92.80.1275.110-5D CTD but I have no idea who CTD are.

185 406-6 (IGE) and 203 008 (BUVL) head north with GATX / VTG pressurised tanks at Ratingen in pretty awful conditions for July!
Only uploaded this picture as the combination is pretty rare.
BUVL appear to be the B&V Leipzig GmbH, so presumably the class 203 was being transferred. The number on the side of the shunter read 92 80 1203 008-8 D-BUVL.

Sitting in the loop waiting to head up the branch to the limeworks at Rohdenhaus are 276 041-1 and FB 1544 (subsequently found to be 275 025-5) working for Europorte. It is not clear who operates these locos now as FB1544 has no international (NVR) number and was operating with Euro Cargo Rail in France during 2014.
Anyone know the NVR number for FB1544?
I believe this train is working from Dillingen / Völklingen to Rohdenhaus and would have gone to Duisburg-Wedau to run round before heading back south to access the angertalbahn branch to Rohdenhaus.
