Manchester Ship Canal locomotive 4001 rusts away at Winfields of Haslingden. This loco was built by Hudswell Clarke & Co. of Leeds and was powered by a 430 b.h.p. National Gas & Oil Engine Co. power unit. 4002 (HC D1076 / 1959) is still in service on the East Lancashire Railway.
