In its early years, the WC ran a fleet of Westbounds out of Stevens Point in the mid afternoon, usually one destined to the Twin Cities, one to Duluth/Superior and one towards Wausau. Here, the first of the fleet is departing Stevens Point with SD45 6507 +1 in August 1993

The engine house at Stevens Point usually had a nice variety of power to photograph, and the employees were all pretty friendly as long as you were safe and didn't climb on any of the engines. On an afternoon in August 1993, WC GP30 713 with a SDL-39 and SD45s 6560-6532 were being readied for their next assignments.

Over the years, the coal trains for the Weston Power Plant had different routings depending on who had the contract. In the case of this train, the BN handed the train off to the SOO/CP in the Twin Cities, which ran it to New Liston and it went up the Valley Sub on the WC to the power plant. Here an empty Weston Coal train with BN 7934-UP 3303-BN 7252 is on the Valley Sub at Necedah, WI August 1993
