This is my daughter. She is a high school senior and a captain of the soccer team this year. On her club team, she is a forward, but in high school she plays sweeper. The nice thing about a forward playing sweeper is that she has the ability to take the ball out of the defense and run thru the opposing team to the goal. Teams don't expect that! This run resulted in her second goal of the season.

It wasn't an easy game. It was cold, it was windy, it rained and it went into double overtime... but the West Morris Central team came out victorious on a golden goal by #15, shown in the center here. A beautiful header off a great cross. A golden goal is soccer's equivalent of baseball's walk off home run! Well done Pack!

My daughter is calling them the "Dream Team". Today they were victorious for the second time over one of their biggest rivals, allowing them to advance to the Morris County Tournament FINALS next week. This team has played in the semifinals 8 times, but this is only the second time that they have ever advanced to the finals. The first time was my daughter's freshman year, now she is a Senior and it is time to finish ON TOP!
To sweeten the pot, if they win this Thursday they will be CONFERENCE CHAMPS for the first time since 1994!
