I still love this place! I still love sitting on this bridge. Timing was perfect, as there were not many canoes on the river today, but I arrived as a few were passing by the bridge.
Recreated my summer FITS shot for fall! This was on my way back from the flea market in PA where I went to eat apple dumplings with ice cream. Well worth the drive!! Overall, a good day!

Got some time in at Waterloo Village before it started to rain. I was afraid that once the rain started there would be no leaves left on the trees. Katie and I had a nice afternoon there until we were starving and had to go find something to eat. That seems to be a recurring problem. We need to remember to pack food. And then I came home and Meeko chewed the shoelaces off of these boots. *sigh*

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a chance to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer, and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer. Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point. My own mother was one of the 1 in 8.
Many college soccer teams promote breast cancer awareness by sporting pink on the playing field.
And the story behind this photo... I was bored. To say that this was not the best soccer I have watched, would be an understatement. So, I challenged myself to try to take a photo of someone’s cleat connecting with the soccer ball. This was the best of my efforts. I often try to create games to get through painful or difficult situations. I do this at work, too. Trying to turn things into a fun challenge usually works for me... at least most of the time.
