At the top of the chute, there was also an aerial cableway terminal. I think this was used to bring up supplies such as food and explosives. The cables are still extant at the bottom, but the wash appears considerably changed by flooding, any ore bins or cableway terminal are probably long gone.

Looking towards the mine from the headworks of the ore chute. Trackway is visible lower center. Mine is located by the large tree at the big poor rock dump. Cabin from the distant view is located on the dump to the right and above the mine.

My route up was the ravine running to the mine from lower right. Very steep and slippery with the loose rock dumped there.

This shot of the upper section of the ore chute gives an idea of the difficulty mining here. Ore chute runs between the two uprights lower center.

I left my DSLR at the bottom and just carried my pocket camera on the scramble up here.
