Tarr Steps is a 17 span clapper bridge. Tarr Steps is an example of a 'clapper' bridge, the term being derived from the Latin 'claperius', meaning 'pile of stones', and is constructed entirely from large stone slabs and boulders. It is the longest of its kind in Britain.
Taken on an all our yesterdays trip to Exmoor.
