This car is a prototype built on an Inrekor designed chassis by the Chesil Motor Company to the design of the Chesil Speedster.
Inrekor is a new material for the construction of new cars with a claimed weight saving of 30%. It is an ultra-light structure Aapro - a foam made from propytene, sandwiched between two thin sheets of aluminium. Inrekor claim this material is lighter, cheaper and as stromg as conventional construction material, that it is cheaper to produce than carbon fibres and its two components are 100% recyclable. Car chassis and other structures may be combined with Inrekor panels by an adhesive. The material was subject to structural tests at MIRA and given a Euro NCAP 5 star rating. Inrekor intend to work with a large car builder in the near future.

Chesil 356 Speedster is a replica of the Porsche model manufactured by the Chesil Motor Company of Dorset. The bodies are of GRP construction and can come in kit form or factory built. The chassis of a VW Beetle jig mounted and shortened and the engine choice is a 1600cc 60 bhp a 1800cc 90 bhp 0r a 2000cc 110 bhp Volkswagen Type 1
