Aquila CR1 LS7 (2010) Engine 7000cc V8 GM
# 6 Nigel Mustill (GB), Bob Berridge (GB), Gareth Evans (GB), John Martin (Oz)
Team: Chamberlain Synergy
The Aquila CR1 has a low mass of 900kg, extremely low centre of gravity, low frontal area and plenty of power, available as the CR1 M60 (BMW V8 4.0ltr, the CR1 LS1 (Chevrolet 5.7 V8), the CR1 LS3 (GM 6.2ltr V8) and CR1 LS7 (GM 7.0 V8)
Another practical use of the car is with racing schools, it has lots of grip due to a very low centre of gravity and most novice drivers pick up the cars handling characteristics very quickly. The low centre of gravity also means that the wear out rate on tyres and brake pads is greatly reduced, the loads being placed on the tyres are more evenly spread out getting the most out of your budget..
The Aquila CR1 will also accommodate two 6’ 8” (207cm) tall persons simultaneously in a car that only measures 1025mm from the tarmac to the top of the roof.
