Bugatti Badge
Bugatti was founded in Molsheim, France by Ettore Bugatti an Italian imigrant. The company produced expensive, and in the case of the Royalle some of the most exclusive bespoke cars in the world. The T35's and T51's were amongst the most sucessful voiterette racing cars.
Bugatti also produced aircraft engines and the engines for French rail cars.

The badge not only bears the name Bugatti but the initials of Ettore Bugatti with an inverted E.

Anyone interested in these cars must one day make a pilgrimage to Molsheim and visit the fantastic Museum (formerly Schlump collection) which houses probably the gratest single collection of Bugatti in the world.

The Type 13 was built at Bugatti's new factory in Molsheim from 1910. The racer was developed from the light shaft driven carinto the Type 13 racer. A major advance was the four valve head designed by Bugatti, power output with dual Zenith carburettors reached 30bhp in a car weighing 660 lbs. The company produced five cars and entered them in the 1910 French Grand Prix at Le Mans and one of the finished 2nd after seven hours of racing. Production was halted during World War 1, but Bugatti took two cars with him to Milan for the duration of the war, leaving three more buried near to the factory. The two cars plus a third built up from parts were entered in the 1920 French Grand Prix, for Voiturettes, but the lead car driven by Bugatti was disqualified for the illegal act of placing his hand on the radiator cap.
he Type 13 was unbeatable. Bugatti's cars placed 1, 2, 3, 4 at the Brescia Grand Prix in 1921, and orders poured in. Capitalizing on this victory, all subsequent 4-valve Bugatti models would bear the Brescia moniker.
