Designed by Chevron patron Dereck Bennett as a developement of the B4. The main differences between the two was the B6 had a fibreglass body built by Specialised Mouldings again BMW powered. The initial run of cars were built, but in order to compete in Internation racing the small B6 was considered a prototype and was pitted against much larger oposition from Ferrari and Porsche..Fifty cars were required for homogulation to Group 4GT class, and a further production run was undertaken to satisfy the FIA. The rest is history, the B6 was a roaring success both at home and in International racing

Chevron was established by motor racer and constructor Dereck Bennett. The B16 Coupe was debuted in the 1969 Nurburgring 500 in the hands of Brian Redman it took pole and led flag to flag. The body was inspired by the Porsche 908 Spyder and was constructed with a spaceframe chassis, monocoque design, with a tubular frame and fibreglass body. Power came from a 1790 cc FVA Cosworth of 245 bhp. Shot at the Silverstone 1000 km. # 16 driven by Corentine Quinoa races 12.09.09 ref 44-50
