Produced by Gardener Douglas of Newark, Nottinghamshire as road and track car. Supplied as factory built or in kit form the car is based on the appearance of a Lola T70 Spyder.
Powered by either a GM LS3 6.2ltr. V8 or a GM LS7 7.0ltr V8 with power outputs between 450 to 700 bhp, both engines come with a Porsche 5 speed or optional 6 speed transaxle. powering a car with a road weight of around 850kg.
The chassis is a triangulated tubular space frame, aluminium panelled and the body is of GRP composite panels.

Gardner Douglas is a low volume specialist sports car manufacturer, based in Newark, Nottinghamshire, established in 1990.
The GTD Spyder was introduced in 2007, based on the Lola T70 from the 1960's and initially powered by a choice of 6 or 7 litre V8 engines, of between 450 to 700bhp, with the car weighing just 902kg.
The chassis is a fully triangululated tubular spaceframe with alloy and GRP composite panels. The transmission is borrowed from Porsche and factory engine options are from the GM LS series of V8's.
The GTD70 is also available as the GTD70 Moda similar to the T70 Spyder but comes with better weather protection in the form of a modular roof system.

The car comprises of a tubular spaceframe chassis, a GRP composite body shell, double wishbone suspension, with in board coil over dampers and the can be powered by a choice of GM LS7 V8 engines from 6.2 litre High Performance 440bhp, to 6.2 Super Hugh Performance 600bhp to a 7 litre 560bhp Ultra High Performance mated to Porsche 5 or 6 speed Transaxle. Brakes are AP 4 pot calipers with ventilated discs.
The quoted price in 2013 was £ 30,000 plus VAT self build or £ 55,000 + VAT Turnkey
