Delta Motorsport E4 Coupe (2012)
One of five prototype all electric sports cars developed by Delta Motorsport. The E4 is powered by a pair of Oxford YASA DD500 electric motors and an under-floor mounted 32kWh battery. Combined with a lightweight carbon-fibre chassis, they enable the E4 to travel up to 140-miles on a single, 12-hour charge. This is an electric car with performance with 214bhp driving either the rear wheels or all wheel drive the car has a 0-60mph acceleration time of 6.5 seconds (also quoted as sub 5 seconds) and a top speed of 116mph (also quoted as 150mph) with a range 200 miles on a single charge and a full charge taking 8 hours with a two conventional domestic 13 amp plugs.
Delta Motorsports were formed in 2005 are based at Silverstone with a proud motor racing and car developement history including the road going Hennessey Venom and the Grand Prix Masters series and Superleague Formula they also provide engineering support for Alan Docking Racing and HiTech Racing
